Background : Group PSA and The Institute of Movement Sciences (ISM, Aix-Marseille University & CNRS, France) are seeking for a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher for a project on fatigue occurring during long-time driving experiences. The study focuses on better understanding of technological (seat) and/or perceptual factors (postural and neuromuscular fatigue) responsible for driving impairment during long duration travel. It is founded on a collaboration between two partners: an academic laboratory with expert knowledge in the domains of movement sciences (Institute of Movement Sciences, ISM, Marseille) and an industrial partner that is strongly involved in innovative research and development
(Society Peugeot-Citroën Automobiles, PSA). The successful candidate will work both at the Institute of Movement Sciences (ISM; http://www.ism.univ-amu.fr/) offering an international, productive and interdisciplinary research environment and at the Group PSA Center à Velizy-Villacoublay (near Paris) and also at the CTAG, Vigo - Spain. Candidate will have to be repeatedly in a car to follow experiment subjects from during trials (at last two hours of travel in different kind of roads).
Profile : Prerequisites for postdoctoral applicants are a PhD in physiology / human movement sciences with a strong experience with EMG and related signals treatment. A solid knowledge of experimental research methods in neuromuscular fatigue assessment is requested. Triggering and computing EMG signal considering video capture data. Programming and statistical skills (e.g., Matlab, Statistica, Acqkownledge) are also compulsory. The candidate must be familiar with concepts related to fatigue in transport and specially cars.
Applicants should send their motivation letter, a full CV, a complete list of publications and two references letters supporting their candidature.
