A postdoctoral scholar position is available in the Hunt laboratory at University of California Irvine. Our work takes a multi-disciplinary approach to study nervous system development and function in epilepsy, combining molecular, anatomical, electrophysiological, imaging and behavior methodologies using mouse models and human induced pluripotent stem cells. The lab is currently funded by multiple NIH and private foundation grants to support these projects.

Requirements: The successful candidate(s) will have a Ph.D. with research experience relevant to our lab interests and a desire to work independently within a collaborative team environment. Preference will be given to outstanding candidates with established expertise in molecular biology, viral vectors, electrophysiology and/or stem cell biology. Candidates with an interest in epilepsy, autism or stem/progenitor cell transplantation are especially encouraged to apply. Competitive applicants should have at least one high-quality, first-author publication.
