W1-Juniorprofessur for Biochemistry and Molecular Neurosciences (Tenure Track)

 

In a temporary employment relationship for a period of three years. After positive evaluation, an extension to a total of six years is envisaged. The FAU provides a longer-term perspective by subsequently appointing an indefinite professorship of grade W2 (TenureTrack) provided that the requirements of a tenure evaluation are met at the end of the time-limit.

 

One of the tasks is to adequately represent the subject in research and teaching. The intention is to strengthen molecular neurosciences, especially in the field of glial cell research at the Institute of Biochemistry. An involvement in the research groups of the Faculty of Medicine and special programs at the University Hospital, especially in GRK2162, is expected. The teaching takes place within the course of the curricular events of the biochemistry in the study courses human medicine, dental medicine and molecular medicine. The faculties of the Faculty of Medicine are Human Medicine, Dentistry, Molecular Medicine, Medical Process Management and Speech Therapy.

 

Prerequisites for admission are a completed university degree, pedagogic aptitudes, special qualification for scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by an outstanding doctorate. If, prior to or after the doctorate, an employment as a scientific employee or as a research assistant has taken place, the doctoral and employment phase together should not have been more than six years [for doctors: not more than nine years].

 

The FAU has the right to appeal. The civil service requirements for appointment are governed by Art. 10 BayHSchPG.

 

The FAU expects participation in the academic self-administration, the commitment to the acquisition of third-party funding and a high presence at the university to the intensive care of the students.
