Limited to initially 3 years to fill. The position offers the possibility to a doctorate (Dr. rer. Nat.).


The working group of Dr. Sebastian Rumpf explores molecular and cellular mechanisms of neuronal morphogenesis. The project is based on the analysis of the neuronal cytoskeleton (Herzmann et al., 2017, EMBO J. 36 (13) 1981-91) and the neuronal gene expression in Drosophila (Rumpf et al 2014, PNAS 111 (20), 7331-6) ,


We are looking for motivated and curious applicants with experience in molecular biology and / or modern microscopic methods as well as cell biology or biochemistry. Experience with Drosophila is beneficial but not compelling. This is a very good MSc degree in biology or biochemistry.
