The tasks of the Clinical Teacher include, within the total work time of 1 624 hours and the annual work plan, teaching, guidance and research. Key tasks include providing basic education in psychiatry, participating in specialist training and active research. The assignment is at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Oulu Medical School (Neuroscience Research Unit).


The task requires the psychiatric specialist's rights and Doctoral Degree.


Managing this task requires good and versatile teaching skills, interaction and cooperation skills, skills in producing teaching materials and developing teaching. University Pedagogical Studies must be completed within two years of receipt of the assignment, unless they have already been completed.


An active research work in the psychiatric field is an advantage for doing this. There are ongoing psychiatric research projects in the psychiatric field in which participation in a bribe is required. International research cooperation is considered to be an advantage for the applicant.

The remuneration is based on the demands level 5-7 of the teaching and research staff of the pay system of the universities. In addition, a payroll based on personal performance is paid, which is no more than 46.3% of the salary per employee.


The task will be completed from January 1, 2018 for a period of five years or until further notice. The employment relationship is subject to a four-month probation period. The teaching and examination language of the University of Oulu is Finnish. Teaching in English is also possible.


The Clinical Teacher will have the opportunity to take a secondary course at the Oulu University Hospital.
