Lecturer in Psychology
The Lecturer will be appointed in the department of Educational and Psychological Studies (EPS) in the School of Education and Human Development (SEHD) starting January 1, 2024, and ending May 15, 2025 excluding summer months (May 16-August 15, 2015). This person assumes a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of both graduate and undergraduate programs within EPS and SEHD. In addition to supporting the programs in Higher Education, and teaching in the department, the lecturer will support additional administrative tasks in the department and the SEHD. The Lecturer position will carry a four-course teaching load for each of the three academic semesters of the initial appointment (Spring & Fall 2024 and Spring 2025) but will receive a 2-course reduction each semester for programmatic and administrative support. The Lecturer will work closely with the department chair to determine most appropriate courses. The Lecturer can also elect to teach during the summer of 2024 and receive and overload payment for each course taught. This appointment requires full-time commitment for this term with the possibility for renewal. Any additional activities beyond those specified (such as additional teaching, additional administrative effort, research, or course development) will be considered as overload commitments which must be approved in advance from the EPS department chair.
This commitment to excellence closely aligns with SEHD's mission and entails a close collaboration with the SEHD's Vice Dean, the SEHD’s Office of Graduate Studies, and Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies to fulfill the administrative responsibilities listed above.
